Using as the supporting part, Bearing is very important widely used in modern machine. In spite the traditional bearings have their strongpoint, but they have some unavoidable defects which limit their using field. The successfully research of the technique of the electromagnetic bearing (EMB) had broadened the new field of supporting technique. What show that the traditional bearings have changed and the EMB have specialty characteristics that the traditional bearings don' t have.EMB is a new kind of bearing which suspends in the space with no machine friction, no lubrication utilizing the magnetic force, whose position can be controlled by controller system. This thesis overcomes the existing shortcoming of the EMB structure design, constructs the mathematics model of EMB, systemically analyzes the relationship among the EMB' s structure parameters. The factors which possibly affect the feature of EMB are fully considered in the thesis. The finite Element method based on different principle is successfully used in data analysis of EMB' s electromagnetic field and the calculation formula is given out in the thesis, the program of the structure optimization design of electromagnetic bearing is developed under the environment of Matlab6. 02 as well as ansysS. 7 to realize single goal optimization and multi-goal optimization. The programs utilize the technique of object-oriented technology, which have ability to input the optimization parameters of EMB alternate and the optimization results are simulated at the end of the thesis. The optimization design, simulation and test of EMB are successfully realized. The efficiency and veracity of structure optimization are deeply improved. The research results of the thesis is very important to engineering application.
