The CFD analysis on the diesel engine's intake port is very important in the diesel engine design and produce. It will economize so much time and money which iiad been used in steady flow experiment. It shortens the time from design to experiment and to produce in the end very much.In this paper, the continuity equation, the momentum equation, the kequation and the e equation are used to set up the theoretic model. The flow inthe intake port is looked upon as the three-coordinate steady flow, but the heat transfer between the all and the flow in the intake port isn't considered. Thecommercial CAD/CAM software UG n is used to set up the flow entity model, and it is imputed into the finite element analysis software ANSYS via the universal geometry data standard. The intake port is separated into three parts -the direct flow part, the slope part and the flat peak part - which are meshed by different elements. The flow in the intake port in five work statuses -three sorts pressure difference and three sorts valve rising degree are analyzed. The results are analyzed by the postproduction module of ANSYS. The distributing of the velocity in the intake port and on the port exit and the distributing of the turbulence kinetic energy are get. The momentum moment flow rate is used to scale the swirl. Some advices to improve on the port are put forward.
