The topic of this paper is 'Research on the DSP-based Three Phase Inverter and the FPGA-based Dynamic Waveform Compensation'.The DSP-based inverter is a 3-phase inverter controlled by the digital signal processor. This paper designs a 40KVA inverter used to drive the variable speed air-conditioner on a train. The start and the stop mode of the inverter, the voltage regulator and the error detecting method are introduced. The hardware of the inverter system is based on a TI's digital signal processor-TMS320C32PCM50. The space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique is used to control the output voltage of the inverter. The voltage regulator is designed by means of the IDENTTOOL and the SISOTOOL of the MATLAB. Simulation and experimental results validate the regulator. The software of the control system is illustrated and explained detailedly. The inverter system is tested in Qindao vehicle-study institution and the good performance of it is verified by the results of the experiments. This paper proposes an FPGA-based dynamic waveform compensation system. The hardware is based on the Altera's FPGA-FLEX10K20 and its configuration device-EPC2LC20. The software is developed under the Altera's development environment-MAX+PLUSII by means of VHDL and Graphic Tool. Simulation and experiments validate the system. The THD of the output voltage drops from 1.6% to 9‰.
