Due to the harm of different degree frequently can be happen by concrete cracks in engineering field, so researches of predicting and controlling concrete crack always are major topics in concrete study. Along with the development of science and technology, new material, new technology and new craft constantly emerges, and lead to reasons of concrete crack to become complication, therefore predicting and controlling concrete crack constantly is faced with new problems and challenges.The problem of concrete crack is a complicated system problem that is cooperated with many factors. At present, using one-sided crack reasons predict and control concrete crack, so its application scope present the bigger limitations. Using the system approach to prediction and control concrete crack is very necessary, which possesses important realistic significance and the technological economic significance.In this thesis, the systemic study from aspects of structure design, concrete material and construction etc has been taken for the causes of cracking and the concrete crack control, and on this foundation the model of concrete crack predicting and control is built by application grey system theory and artificial neural network theory. The major content of this thesis is as follows:1. From three aspects: design, material and constructions this thesis respectively expound the causes of concrete cracking, and put forward that using system approaches research concrete crack is feasible and necessary.2. Having built model of predicting and controlling concrete crack, and using Visual Basic 6.0 languages and MATLAB program a software of predicting and controlling crack.3. Using real engineering data and the real example test accuracy of the software to crack analysis of degree of incidence of crack reason and crack predicting. The practice proves that the software operation is simple and easy, and computing result of the software satisfies the engineering precision requirement.
