Grey Incidence Analysis On Factors Of Deformation Of Loessal Foundation

Deformation is one of main problems for study of soil mechanics, according to analysis on present needs of engineering, defects in research of deformation of foundation the paper thaught It was necessary to introspect and probe into the methods of foundation settlement at present.At the basis of analysis of influencing factors of settlement and collapsibility of loessal foundation, it was subjected that the deformation should be thought of as a system that many factors worked and influenced together, specially a grey system. Thus the grey incidence analysis method can be applied to settlement and collapsibiliry of loessal foundation,and it was cheerful that the method worked so well that some useful results could be attained.Firstly,by the analysis of influencing' factors of settlement of loessal foundation, results indicated that among the three settlement methods such as the layer-wise summation method based on chord modulus, the layer-wise summation method based on modulus of compressibility and the layer-wise summation method based on modulus of deformation and so on, the layer-wise summation method based on chord modulus is superior to the other two methods and is very close to the actual measurement settlement of building according to the grey incidence analysis on influencing factors of settlement.Secondly, by the analysis of influencing factors of collapsibility of loessal foundation, results indicated that at the basis of the grey incidence analysis on influencing factors of collapsibility of loessal foundation,the void ratio is the superior and steadily influencing factor of collapsibility at all events and other influencing factors will have different degree of influence according to the specific conditions of loess foundation.In summary, by the grey incidence analysis of settlement and collapsibility the paper expounded some influencing factors of settlement and collapsibility and demonstrated that the layer-wise summation method based on chord modulus is superior to the other two methods and how to think correctly some influencing factors in setting up the model of collapsibility.Incidentally,it is the first time that the grey incidence analysis method was used to research the influencing factors of settlement and collapsibility of loessal foundation at present.
