Now there are many researches on active control method to reduce structural vibration in the field of construction and make such methods into use. In the field of ship structure, foreign countries and China have researched on reduce ship's mechanical vibration using active control method and have had excellent effect. There is nearly no research on using active control method to reduce ship structural vibration stirred by slamming. This thesis studied theoretically on Active Cable and Active Tuned Mass Damper which were designed on the base of LQR theory. Then the thesis studied concretely on the validity of Active Cable by an example. This thesis made dynamic analysis on the FEM model of one fat ship using MATLAB language. In the full of research, the thesis constructed the dynamic equations of the simplified model, then programmed and computed the feedback gains using LQR method. Moreover, the thesis plotted pictures of displacement, velocity, acceleration, bend and shearing force of ship's head and middle part in the condition of using Cable and not using Cable. The results of the analysis proved that the displacement, velocity, acceleration, bend and shearing force of ship's head and middle part were controlled effectively with Active Cable. Otherwise the thesis made according analysis when Active Cable was stationed on the different parts of ship. Its results proved that it can have better effect when stationed on 0.8L. It was still in the groping phase of the study on active control of ship structural vibration by slamming and it need a long time to put it in use because of ship structural complexity. From this thesis, it can be stated that the use of observation implement and Active Cable can produce timely active control to ship in the wave. Because Active Cable can enhance ship's ability of anti-siamming but don't affect ship's inward capability, it should be given some attention in the application research of active control method in ship structure vibration by slamming.
