Research And Practice Of Product Configuration Theory Based On DFMC

Mass Customization (MC) is considered as a 21st century-oriented production mode; Design For Mass Customization (DFMC) is the design method to realize MC, in which to build a reasonable product family on which product variation design can carry out is a key technology. Product configuration is an important method to realize product variation design. So, it is very important to research the configuration theory and configuration tool based on DFMC.This paper summarizes the research of DFMC and its design methods; researches the product configuration theory based on DFMC; puts forward the concepts of configuration correlation and correlation matrix according to function correlation between modules, builds a product configuration model based on correlation matrix which uses correlation matrix to represent configuration relations between modules, researches the search arithmetic of configuration rule; develops a general product configuration design tool and analyzes the functions and realization technologies of its constituent modules; in the end, as an example, oven-timer configuration design is carried out to validate the tool's feasibility and universality.
