Conventional DC electric propulsion system always takes up dominant station in submarine propulsion. Due to DC motor inherent limitation that machine commutation and brush results in stand-alone capability's limit low reliability, big noises, people manage to explore more quiet, high efficient and reliability, big stand-alone capability propulsion motor. These years along with the development of power-electronics technique and micro-control technique, permanent magnetic brushless DC motor is characterized by small volume, light weight, high efficiency, low noises, big stand-alone capability and reliability appeared and matured. So it is hopeful to become new generation submarine propulsion motor.This document presents a solution to control a permanent magnet brushless DC motor using the TMS320C24x. This new family of DSP's enables cost-effective design of intelligent controllers for brushless motors which can fulfill enhanced operations, consisting of fewer system components, lower system cost and increased performances.According to permanent magnetic brushless DC motor's mathematics model, thesis researched brushless DC motor's system structure and control law. then ,the sensored and sensoeless solution are respectively precent which using Digital Signal Processing for Permanent Magnet brushless DC motor, and by this two solution it designed hardware and software for control system. In sensored case ,the theory of hall signal checking ahd how to change phase are discussed.In sensorless design, Using a single line resistance measure phase current and estimating rotor position are brought forward by analyse associate codes. At the same time, problems and solution which meet in task are mentioned in report.At last ,it drew a conclusion that summarined the design thought of permanent magnetic brushless DC motor control system after absenting waves of controller's work . Permanent Magnetic Brushless DC motor control system canbecome main power source in ship electric propulsion field ,and the research have important s signification.
