The spirit pursuit of human has constantly improved with the increasing development ofsocial economy,leading to the rapid development of the tourism industry, aquatic traveling hasincreasingly become the development direction of urban travel. However, most of the existingdiesel propulsion tour ship will inevitably cause environmental pollution because of harmful gasemissions, which worsened the ecological environment of the scenic areas. Therefore, makinguse of solar energy power generation technology, high-performance lithium battery energystorage technology and combining with the advanced electric propulsion technology, developingthe new energy integrated electric propulsion system which replaced the ordinary dieselpropulsion will be able to effectively control environmental pollution because of harmfulgaseous emission, and promote the development of aquatic tourism economy.Therefore, with the support of related topics, developing the integrated electric propulsionsystem of catamaran ship which uses the solar energy as the main energy and brushless DCmotor for propulsion, and mainly focuses on the research of propulsion control technology andcontrol strategy optimization under the special conditions, which will improve maneuveringcontrol performance and safety performance for the ship. Its main works are as follows:1. The integrated electric propulsion system structure of solar sightseeing ship was proposed,and its generation devices and propulsion devices were analyzed. Then, combined with the basicparameters and required performance of the designed solar sightseeing ship, the propulsioncontrol requirements of the ship were put forward.2. The mathematical model of brushless DC motor and propeller motion model wereanalyzed, the simulation model of ship-BLDCM-propeller was established by Matlab/Simulink,and the mathematical model was verified by the simulation results.3. The control strategy of double push sightseeing ship was analyzed, and its simulationmodel was established by Matlab/Simulink.Through the stress analysis of catamaran, the cruisecontrol strategy under the conditions of rudder failure was proposed, and the correspondingsimulation model was established.4. Further research on the cruise ship whether it can meet the requirements of extrememanipulation (for example, from full speed ahead suddenly back to full speed), after building theexperiment platform in the lab, then, developing the ship propulsion control system based onPLC, and the hardware design and software flow were introduced.
