ln this paper, the flame stability function is anaIyzed, and highconcentration puIverized coaI theory is researched, which is onthe base of the fire and combustion characteristics of the coaI.The flame-stabiIization mechanism and working condition of newtypes of burners is introduced, as weII as the technology ofadjustable horizontal rich/Iean combustion is studied. Theinfluence to the boiler burner of air-surrounding-fueI combustionstyle is aIso researched. Mean while, the Iouver concentratorstructure principle is analyzed, the Iouver puIverized coalconcentrator is studied on the bases of both laboratory andproduction. lt is discovered from the experiments that the louverhorizontaI rich/lean combustion pulverized coal burner hasadvantages of simple in structure, low resistance and adjustmentof PC concentration. On the base of the coId state and hot stateexperiment, a reform to the #3 boiIer of Huiliuhe Power Stationusing the rich/Iean burner is performed. As a resuIt, the quantity ofNO is reduced, the security and the economy of the boiler areimproved remarkably.
