The Analysis And Research About Urban Traffic Control System

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is the application of advanced computer, communication, electronics, and control technologies to make the traffic more efficient. It depends not on the extension of the traffic structure, but on the intension of the traffic demand. Its purpose is to improve the traffic situation by traffic information and automation.Traffic control system includes: traffic flow simulation, traffic information collection, urban traffic signal control and vehicle navigation.This dissertation simply introduces the circumstance about urban traffic control system under ITS area, the basic traffic flow theory, urban dynamic traffic information system and traffic signal control, meanwhile use those traffic information to server for the vehicle navigation system.Use the demo software SYNCHRO 5.0 to simulate the traffic flow, and traffic signal. The creative things are an example of "green-band signal region" and analysis about the most valuable path algorithm.
