In recent years, Shandong Province has obtained the amazing achievement in the highway construction. With the fast and health development of the highway construction, subsequently, highway network need to be perfected and with the increases of the highway traffic, also with the increasely strong demand of the driver for the traffic information. How to improve the work efficiency of the highway management department, and how to realize the modernization and informationization of the highway management and make the decision-making process more scientific,on the other hand, how to use the traffic information resource well and offer the driver accurate and convenient traffic information, and how to full display the function of the highway transportation in national economy development is one of the important mission of the highway management department currently. This dissertation stems from project"The study on intelligent highway network information management system of Shandong province",supported by the transportation department of Shandong province. Through the wide, careful and thorough investigation and based on the comprehensive system demand analysis, the detailed design on the highway network information management system of Shandong province is described, further more, the thorough study on the shortest path of highway network is carried on. The more details of the dissertation are as follows:First chapter: introduces the development of highway information management system at home and abroad, then analyzes the insufficiency exists in the highway construction of Shandong province and the informationization of the highway management, further more, the author illuminates the purpose and significance of the dissertation ,finally, the author provides the main contents of the dissertation.Second chapter: introduces some basic concepts of GIS related the system design, analyzes several method realized of WebGIS,the characteristic of the development platform commonly used and database technology, which lies the foundation for the following analysis and the design of the system.Third chapter:the author through the wide, careful and thorough investigation, firstly, analyzes the service demand, the information demand and the function demand of the personnel of the highway managerment department and the driver which system faces.Further more, establishes the design goal and the design principle of the system, carries on the overall frame design of the system, the choice of development platform, the system structural design as well as the system safe design and so on,and the key carries on the design of the system function and the database.Forth chapter:firstly, outlines the shortest path, introduces the general solution process of the shortest path.in view of the travel characteristic of the driver which go on a journey in a highway network, designs a general link impedence function including travel distance, travel time and travel cost, then separately determines the evaluation index and models of the travel time and travel cost, integrated evaluation system of the highwork networkgeneral link impedence is formed; determines the weight coefficient of all levels evaluation indexes using the analytical hierarchy process quite objectively and reasonably, finally, introduces the Dijkstra algorithm which has been considered classical, further more, take the partial highway network of Shandong province as an example, then calculates the general link impedence of the feasible way,and analyzes the the shortest path. Fifth chapter: all study contents are concluded in this chapter, with the deeper research of the project, the chapter also lists some to be studied and perfected.
