The design for the Primary Equipment Data Platform of the Substation's Simulation and Training System is introduced in this paper. The emphasis of the research are the method of how to set up power system data model,the automatic coding method of net connection and the automatic getting method of the locking logic for avoiding wrong operation in normal operation training.Power network has the characteristic of hierarchical so that we should think of making use of it to represent the power system data model. The paper has represented the power network structure knowledge with the frame knowledge representation approaches according to the characteristic of power network, and a power system model with the compartment as spur track and other outer equipment as node is proposed. Besides, a compartment template and a inspection point template are abstracted to realize batch setting up of data in setting up of Power system.The off-line data for network topology determination are always achieved by hand, and the coding of the equipments and their common points is tedious. So the paper proposed the intelligent search method of width-first searching to coding the network connection automatically and studied it.The locking logic for avoiding wrong operation in normal operation training is one of the difficulties in the development of the Substation's Simulation and Training System. This paper analyzed the logic in detail and realized the logic automatically with the method of heuristic search based on width-first searching.
