People demand residential environment of higher quality with the improvement of living conditions. Living environment came out and developed since people appeared. It experienced the process of nature, rebuilding and protecting. People pay more attention to our environment. Many countries have made great efforts to research it and used some measures to improve the people's residential environment. Building residential district is the closest factor with people. And "the green intelligent residential district" is the trend of the all. This article introduces the constitutions and the designing contents of "the green intelligent residential district". Then states the intelligent districts of middle-big cities in south China. Also it analyzes the results and tries to find the reasons. Based on it, the article studies the details of "the green intelligent residential district", hi addition, the article analyzes the main elements influencing environment, sums up the designing principles and probes the conditions of the green intelligent residential district, then puts forward some advice to solve the problems. The article studies about the traffic environment, the use of the new materials and new resources, the embodiment of district characters, three-dimensional afforesting and management and suggests that to create an ecological district with convenient traffic and scientific equipments, principles of "sustainable development", "humanistic" ,community development, localization and art should be insisted. At the end of the article analyzes about the environment of two cases of intelligent district, expecting the theory can be combined with the practice.
