Research Of Conservation And Renewal Of Resident Historic District In The Course Of Urbanism

Chinese cities are in the course of being highly urbanized. From developing patterns in other city districts, conservation and renewal are two major patterns of resident historic district in city. Which also form the complicated programming theory system.The problem of conservation and renewal of resident historic district in the course of urbanism are studied in this paper, theory in this subject and actuality problem are general analyzed. Research areas are actively studied as follows-to adapt to the current developing status of urbanism ,we tempt to study this subject from the point of urban developing and district renovation; study emphasize on the sustain of social life structure in historic district and to illustrate the theory of conservation and renewal of historic district in the context of urbanism. With research project of the historic district in Chengnan of Quanzhou, the paper explore the method of conservation and renewal of resident historic district in cities.The thesis is organized as follows.Theory is presented in the first part. Based on the definition of resident historic district, the development of this theory and practice, especially those new theories in foreign countries, the values, and austere complexion are analyzed and concluded; "conservation" and "renewal" are also defined in the point of historic dynamic development. Finally, based on the theory of sustainable development and organic renovation, this paper issue the major principles in this subject.Practice is presented in the second part. The paper investigate, research, and analyze the historic district in Chengnan of Quanzhou from the various point and aspect of history, culture, society, economy, the character of architecture environment, and the public inclination. Then, based on the aims of the scene conservation, improvement of resident conditions, and the economical development in this district, put forward the instructional idea and programming measure, incidentally discuss the policy and financing to this historic district.
