| The real history has been engulfing by the rapidly developing cities. In this backround,with the pressure for economic development which has been increasingly heavy and thepatterns of urban development which mixed with new and old ones, it is destined difficultfrom the beginning to reconcile the contradictions between conservation and development forthe large number of buildings in the conservation districts of historic sites. It is a test for manyexcellent modern historic buildings in the conservation districts of historic sites which has thecharacteristics of conservation districts of historic sites and modern city model. The road ofprotection and renewal of these buildings will be more tortuous and challenging than others inthe future.Guangzhou is one of the central city in modern Chinese history with prominent position.Base on Guangzhou, He-FuJin Villa, a standard Dongshan Westernstyle Residence inXinhepu conservation districts of historic sites, is chosen as the object of study in this article.Literature method, survey method,descriptive method and case study method are used in thearticle. The contents of the article include the project, the research of based information andhistorical background, the learning of relevant laws and theories, and the protection andrenewal of the whole He-FuJin Villa. The process of the protection and renewal is recordedtruly and completely in the article.The protection and renewal of He-FuJin Villa includes two parts: the building and thecourtyard. As the exciting part of the design, the courtyard is the emphases of the study in thearticle, to make the surroundings of historic buildings important.The method called “from point-to-surface†is used in the article in order to find a way forthe protection and renewal of Dongshan Westernstyle Residence in Xinhepu conservationdistricts of historic sites, and as a reference to the similar work to make some contribution tothe modern historic buildings conservation in China. |
