Traditional vehicle suspension system is passive control system. It is designed for certain special road surface and vehicle riding state, which vibration dampers have fixed damping characteristic. When the road surface and vehicle riding state overage the design conditions, the damping effect of the passive control system will be depressed. Recently, the research of active control suspension system has developed rapidly. Active control can be divided complete active control and semi-active control. The structure of complete active control method is complex and its cost high. Contrast with complete active control, semi-active control is more inexpensive and its structure simpler. Semi-active control is fit for suppressing the vibration of vehicle suspension system. Electrorheologic fluids can transfer between Newton fluid and Bingham fluid with the control of applied electric field. Electrorheologic damper, which can offer controllable damping force, can be used in semi-active control of vehicle suspension system.According to the model of Newton fluid and Bingham fluid, analyze and research performances of Electrorheologic damper. Establish the simulation program to analog the vibration of vehicle system by founding the model of Electrorheologic damper, vehicle system and road surface. The simulation result shows that the semi-active control of vehicle suspension system equipped with Electrorheologic damper has better performances of suppressing the vibration than the passive control.While adopts Bang-bang control to realize semi-active control of vehicle suspension system equipped with Electrorheologic damper, the Coulomb damping force of Electrorheologic damper is fixed, as the Bang-bang control is two-value control actually. The Bang-bang control cannot make full use of performances of the Electrorheologic fluids. Design fuzzy controller aim to vehicle suspension system equipped with Electrorheologic damper. The simulation result shows that adopts fuzzy control to realize semi-active control of vehicle suspension system equipped with Electrorheologic damper can make full use of performances of the Electrorheologic fluids and obtain better effect of suppressing the vibration. |
