With the great develepment of the national economy, our country have been strengthening the develepment of the projects for basic facilitieses,pecially in the wester mountain areas,as the key construction projects such as airports ,roads,railways have been made a start on continually and the more and more high fill project have been involved.People have made plenty of research and have made great progress in the theory and practice to solve the stability of the side slope after the project have been filled.The Libo Airport, built to exploit natural resources,and improve the enviroment of investment, lies to 12km to the northeast of Libo county of Guizhou province. The overall fill amount of the airport is 1091.2347 noyriastere and the height of the fill is almost 60m, with pertains to the high fill projects of the airport, whose site to prography and lithology is very varied. The basement of the till area is a slope dip place of slow dip downhill roch.There the research on the stability of the side slope filled is very necessary, this is because not only the design construction operation and investment of project is under influence, but also the feasibility of the projecct is also restricted, which is the key of the successful construction of the airport.According to the methodology of geology analysis -^ numerical simulation analysis -^ quantitative estimate. The artile had made reseach on the stability of the side slope filled high In Libo airport.First of all, research on the engineering geology environment of the field, after the field survey, and detailed survey, finding out to pography and morphology in the field,the layer lithology geological tectonic the non-geology phenomenan.etc. it is the basic of the stability analysis.and estimating the natural etability of the ground filled,Secondly, deep research on the engineering geology situation of the base of the filling areas. By studing of the type of the slope, the atructure and spread features of the rock-soil mass and the parameter of the rock-soil mass in filling areas, estimating the etability of the ground filled,Thirdly, with two dimension finite element numerical analysis, research die stress distribution features and deformation of the side slope filled. Analyze the condition of deformation destroy of side slope, and find the impossible slip sarface positions.Finally, according to geological and finite element analytical findings, apply limiting equilibrium principle to type section under the different conditions, adopt many methods to count, combine the project features at Libo airport and relevant standard, select the safety factor, analyze the countant findings comprehensively, estimate the stability in the field, and givesome saggesticms of the settle measure.As is seem from above, if the natural ground is filled directly in high-fill side slope at Liho airport. The entire stability of the side slope filled is good. There aren't global stability problems alongside with the hight of the strong-moderate weatheing mud shaly, but there aren't unstable location partly, alongside with overburden slipping.
