This paper put forward a new type backstop that transfer the backstop moment by the meshing components, and completed the design of the backstop. The geometrical conditions that the backstop can be run in gear have been educed by researching the movement of the components. The paper analyzed the external forces of the backstop, established the dynamics model of the backstop being run, and analyzed the dynamic load of the backstop. And the paper analyzed the relations between the errors of the components and load distribution among the backstop piece, and put forward a method of translating the errors into a equivalent error. For the occasion of several backstops being used at the same time, the paper put forward a project of uniform load among the backstops. The outcome of study made clear that this new type backstop has the strongpoints compares with other backstops of smaller volume and lighter weight, and it can be manufactured more easily and it works unfailingly, so that the backstop has a broad prospective application.
