The research of the dissertation comes from the aerospace research project "Accurate Lamp-house Tracking Servo System". The academic key points about the servo system are discussed thoroughly. The research results of the dissertation have been successfully applied to the practical system.The dissertation presents the software and hardware architecture of the digital high speed precision AC PMSM servo system and its design.Torque ripple is the key to evaluate an AC PMSM servo system. A permanent magnet synchronous motor is selected so that the system could work excellently. Multiform measures are taken to weakening the torque ripple, such as adopting stator-flume, choosing right ratio of magnet-width and slot-width, and programming properly. A Permanent magnet synchronous motor CAD software is worked out for predigesting the design of the motor.Lower inertia, lower yawp and high precision are the virtues of optical rotary encoders. In order to reduce the error, a 17-bits absolute type encoder is used as the rotor position sensor.The system structure is universal and compact, whose controller is consisted of a DSP ADMC401 and an embedded computer PC 104, and main power part is made up of IPM. The experiments and application showed that the system is possessed of reasonable design and reliable performance.
