The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), whose rotor is composed by a kind of rare earth material —— NdFeB, has appeared since early 1970's. Because of the perfect characters of NdFeB such as high magnetic energy product and high coercive force, PMSM has so many strong points for example simple structure, small volume, light weight, high efficiency etc. and soon become the new developing direction of the motor for aeronautics, astronautics and civilian. This thesis first introduces the general situation of DSP based AC Servo System of PMSM. Then the mathematic model, operation principle of PMSM and the basic theory of Vector Control for PMSM are all illuminated. Thirdly the S-domain characteristics and stability of current circle, speed circle and position circle are analyzed. That is a good basis for the following simulation and experiments. After that the speed servo system and the position servo system are simulated by MATLAB/SIMULINK. Moreover the thesis focuses its some attention on the simulation and experiment analysis on the problem of Maximum Torque Starting of PMSM. Finally on the base of principle and simulation analysis, the thesis particularly presents the designing and realizing method on the whole servo system's hardware and software. Furthermore the experiment results for the full-digital servo system and digital-analog servo system are introduced. These waves and data indicate the speed and position servo systems which are designed in this thesis have satisfying static and dynamic performance, suitable low-speed-torque and relatively wide range for regulating speed. Those not only prove the correctness of previous principle and simulation analysis but are beneficial to further research and application.
