| With the development of society and technology, people have more and more demands of vehicle riding quality. The fine smoothness and low noise are key characteristics of modern vehicle. Based on one home made van, this paper analyses the isolation characteristics of powertrain rubber mounting system and its effect on vibration of full vehicle. The following four subjects are mainly studied.Making the powertrain vibration isolation experience under operation, the paper analyses relating data. Under ADAMS (Automatic dynamic analysis of mechanical system) environment, it establishes 6-DOF (Degree of Freedom) powertrain test rig model and studies its isolation characteristic which including variable stiffness and damping. The paper also creates the whole vehicle model which pays particular attention to the powertrain mounting's isolation effect to vehicle vibration. Using this model, the optimization of the powertrain rubber mounting components' parameters and vehicle riding quality could be acquired. A large number of vibration response experiences and spectrum analyses of full vehicle on road and idling are measured. The effect of rubber mounting to the vehicle vibration of simulating model and actual vehicle are compared with each other. Many valuable results are obtained. On the basis of powertrain and whole vehicle models, the DOE (Design of experiences) optimization method is carried out for the goal of whole vehicle riding quality. The optimized modification is also executed and evaluated. This experience indicates that the above method for optimizing powertrain rubber mounting system's parameters is effective to improve powertrain isolation performance. It could be spread for designing and optimizing similar problems in engineering field. At the same time, the fundamental design procedures and basic requirements of powertrain mounting elements are studied. Some basic parameters of whole vehicle components and their assemblies are also measured. |
