Design & Development Of Vehicle Monitoring And Dispatching Based On CTC

ITS is a new road traffic system under research and exploitation, developing with the modern demand of road traffic and high-new science and technology. Vehicle monitoring and dispatching is one significant application for ITS. Based on CTC (Chinatopcom) network, that system noted in this paper applied the Beidou satellite navigational system, geographic information system as well as the CTC system together. Such a system has the functions of monitoring, communication, and vehicle information inquiry, navigation and so on.First this paper gave a briefing concerning GPS, GLONASS, European Galileo system and INMARSAT. Then this paper made an important introduction of the Beidou satellite locating navigational system, developed with our complete autonomous intellectual property and shared with both corps and common people. The Beidou navigational system is characterized by the technical dominance of locating and navigation, data communication, noting time and also by the features of all-day-and-night long, totipotent, real time and continuity. Doubtlessly, that system will be able to promote the structure regulation for relevant industries in China and advance potency in a whole, also push on the rapid development for socialistic economic construction.Recently GIS has been progressing rapidly. As the product combined with cartography, computer technique, geographic, remote sensing, statistics, surveying, communicate, projection and management discipline, GIS is used in a variety of fields. In the system noted in this paper, it is mainly applied for showing and controlling the maps in computer systems and managing the information of controlled target of urban vehicles. Meanwhile, the software in monitoring center is acquired by MapX control.The web-managing center for CTC domestic web-managing system includes user access subsystem, core handling subsystem, data controlling subsystem, WEB subsystem and net management subsystem, satellite interface subsystem and others. The purpose of this paper is to review the physics form, workingprocessing, functions and outline analysis of WEB Gateway for CTC web-managing system. Its setup thoroughly solved the problem of domestic applied understructure building for the Beidou satellite locating and navigational system, paving both for the domestic large-scale use and industrialized development.In summary, the application of such a system would effectively contribute to the vehicle remote monitoring and operating safety, reduce fuel consume, also drop in waste gas, make full availability of vehicles and roads. With the booming of economic construction and socialism in China, this system certainly would bring the prodigious progress in social production and modernized life.
