A DTC controlled asynchronous motor drive system that uses TMS320F240 DSP as its core is designed in this paper. On the basis of analyzing the motor's mathematic model in the a -β reference frame, the system is set up and the DTC project is formulated. After verifying system's correctness by MATLAB simulation, an experiment is carried out and its results testify the validity and the practicality of the design. And to limit the current in the startup process of DTC system, a new method is brought forward, correlative experiments are carried out and results are given out.
