The residential heating method in China underwent various phases of development to reach the current system. Traditional central heating systems is the major mode now, but the evolution in design and restructuring of heat metering systems are leading to the complete elimination and substitution of the old, energy wasting central heating. This tendency, encouraged by the China law, has the favorable effect to install new, well-operating heat meter devices including heat allocating meters combined evaporative heating meters or heat measure meters. This new system is designed to operate on new residential buildings and restructured construction in China.As the developing of the heating metering, a new problem of control mode in heat metering system is facing to most engineers. The old buildings should be alternated to single pipe circuit heating systems and new buildings can also be constructed to it or double pipe circuit systems in order to implement metering and control in independence circuits. The thesis analyses the degree of the hydraulic characteristic and thermal characteristic caused by user adjusting under the condition of the steady pressure or steady flow control in the single pipe circuit heating system mainly relying on experiments, computer analysis, and spot measure. The last section considers the efficiency of heat exchangers and pumps, and analyzes the stability of the heating system combined single pipe circuit with double circuits to draw the conclusion of better control models in the residential heating system.
