Water Source Heat Pump System (WSHPS) is widely used in our countryrecently, but it has been used blindly in some areas without thinking its actual status. In order to guide WSHPS rightly used in more situations, this paper introduces itsprinciple briefly and analyses its applying conditions and system styles according tothe characters of WSHPS . Take a real engineering as example, this paper analyses the load and energyconsumption of WSHPS based on local BIN weather parameter, at the same timeanalyses and compares WSHPS with other system mode, gets the result that energysaving properties WSHPS is prior to other common heat/cold resources. Based on the thermo-economic method and analyses of thermo- economic model, puts forward the target of heating/refrigerating cost and the total cost which evaluatesthe economy of heat/cold sources. Analyses the construction and major influencefactor of heating/ refrigerating cost, obtains the expression of heating/ refrigeratingcost for different schemes, points out the priority of WSHPS thermo-economyperformance. Takes a brief analysis to the influence of WSHPS to environment, especiallyfrom the following parts that pollution exhaust, influences of refrigerant toenvironment and water source to groundwater etc. makes out that application ofWSHPS is of important significance to protect environment. Combined with different application modes of common WSHPS in differentwater source conditions, points out the main problem in design and using. To extendWSHPS in our country, puts forward the self-opinion to design and application ofWSHPS which can be taken as a reference of engineer of WSHPS.
