In this thesis ,the steady performance of ducted propeller in uniform flow is predicted by surface panel method. The surface of propeller, hub and the vortex of blade is discreted by a number of small hyperboloidal quadrilateral panels with constant source and doublet distribution. The duct and it's vortex is discreted by a number of small straight quadrilateral panel. Constant source and doublet distribution is placed on each panel on the surface of body, and constant doublet distribution is placed on each panel on the surface of vortex. The Kutta condition of equal pressure on upper and lower at the trailing edge of the propller and the duct is executed. The problem is solved by the boundary element method in terms of the Green function. The symmetrical Part uses the source distribution on the center Plane of the body whereas the asymmetrical part is achieved through the doublet distribution on the camber surface. By introducing the tent function, the body form can be easily expressed by the body offsets. In this paper, the steady performance of Ka-series propeller with No.l9A duct and Ka-series propeller with JD7704 duct is trying to be computed. The comparision of the computation result and the experimental data shows that prediction of Ka Series propeller by surface panel method is feasible.
