In the design of tall building structure , the engineers generally design the joint as so-called "rigid joint" to resist the structure's lateral load and reduce the lateral displacement efficiently. However, "rigid joint" in the welded steel frame of the Northridg earthquake occurred to a large quantity of brittle breakage.Therefore ,the paper is dedicated to study a new type joint-top and seat angle with double web angles semi-rigid connection. The research of this connection under monotonic and cyclic loading is simulated using powerful finite element analysis software. The damage mechanism under the moment loading is studied and the hysteresis curve is obtained. At last, the hysteresis model and the parameter of the model is defined to provide academic and numerical foundation.
