| The paper analyzed the harmonic characteristics of electrical railway traction load, large and middle rectifier load, and arc furnace load. Give the harmonic model of these loads. The paper also developed the data interface of PS3 harmonic analysis instrument and gave the design method of power filters. Base on these studies, the simulation software of harmonic in power supply system is developed using Visual Basic6.0. The simulation software can be used to harmonic simulation of electrical railway traction load, rectifier load, and arc furnace. The software also can be used to simulate harmonic when power filters are connected to the power supply system. The software is a powerful tool for harmonic simulation and technician training.
