Most of power system's simulation tools have not the systematic model of relay system and can not response the control rules of relay system truly and completely. The paper introduces hybrid system theory, analyzes hybrid characteristic and mathematic representation of protective system, and proposes modeling method for protective system using programmable timed Petri Nets. The method divides protective system's working condition into discrete state logic layer and continuous state layer, and a high-level discrete event supervisory is used to coordinate the actions of the action of various subsystems. Software of line protection is built in a hybrid system modeling tools named Dymola. Digital simulation results denote that the relay model is feasible.Wang Xiaodong (power system and its automation)Directed by prof. Mi Zengqiang, associate prof. Zhao Hongshan...
