The Application Of Fractal Geometry In Architecture

There is an introduction to the fundamental concepts in Fractal Theory----- Fractal andFractal Dimension----- in this thesis. In addition, a brief review is carried out on theprogressive application of fractal theory in architecture. It is by reason of the basicattributes of fractal----- especially, hierarchy of scales in a design, fractal dimension andself-resembling----- can we employ it as both an instrument in architecture critic and aheadstream of fresh ideas as well as novel design methods. With this understanding, weprobe into the two aspects on how Fractal Theory could be put into use in architecture.
