The Elementary Research Of The Regionally Technology On The Sustainable Architecture Design

The thesis introduces the development and the practice of the sustainable architecture, then summarizes the enlightenment of the applicable regionally technology of Chinese traditional vernacular architecture on the sustainable architecture design.The thesis firstly retrospects the background that the word of "sustainable development" was first set forth at the end of last century and has been becoming one of the guiding principles of many governments and disciplines deal with relationship between the environment and the development and also the worldwide Environment Crisis. An analysis about the impact of the idea of sustainable development on architecture design is done, then a summarize about the several types of contemporary typical sustainable architecture is made.In the second chapter, a statement of the specific situation in China and analysis of the contribution that the Low-Tech, which is based on the traditional vernacular architecture, has been made to the development of architecture in a global scope. Then it is concluded that the development of contemporary Chinese sustainable architecture should focus on the Chinese traditional vernacular architecture once again.The third chapter gives some typical examples to elaborate the enlightenment that Chinese traditional vernacular architecture for the sustainable architecture design on the sustainability of the climate, material, landform and the economy. Then analysises some examples, which are based on the Chinese traditional vernacular architecture, on the sustainable architecture design in detail.The forth chapter analysis the natural condition and the traditional vernacular architecture in The Three Gorge area, where is hot in summer and cold in winter. A possibility is studied to make full use of the applicable regionally technology of the Chinese traditional vernacular architecture on contemporary sustainable architecture design.
