Analysis Of Safety Of Design Code For The Steel Structures

Modifying a set of codes has finished, some of which such as Unified standard for reliability design of building structures and Load code for the design of building structures was published by Ministry of Construction. This paper has a valuation on the safety of Design code for the steel structures in according with the subject of National Planning Committee.In this paper, the base concept of reliability of structures and the history of research of reliability theory is presented. Some practical methods for analysis of reliability for building structures are valued and the methods for calculating the coefficients of reliability design are proposed.By calculating the valued of safety of Design code for the steel structures (GBJ17-88), this paper indicate that some values of safety are lower in some provisions of Design code for the steel structures (GBJ17-88).Comparing the new codes with the old ones, calculating the values of reliability of the edited Design code for the steel structures, this paper think that the edited code is moderate with wind load combination.Finally, a practical method is proposed and the resistance partial parameter are charted in order to give a reference.
