Based on how to analyze the deterministic and reliability difference of prestressed concrete continuous girder bridges designing by Chinese and AASHTO LRFD codes, combining the theory of bridge structure analysis and new developments of structural reliability analysis theory and from the perspective of applicable to engineering practice and scientific research innovation, was investigated from the following aspects.1. Based on existing research results of Chinese and AASHTO LRFD codes, the action, the action effect and the resistance capacity were calculating by the FEM;2. Based on the inducting and analyzing of existing research results of structure reliability evaluation, using the combination of qualitative and quantitative method, components functions of the bridge were constructed, which is in order to compare and analyze the difference of Chinese and AASHTO LRFD codes;3. Taking the prestressed concrte continuous girder bridge as the research object, deterministic calculation including permanent action effect, variable action effect, combination of action effect and cross-section flexural capacity, reliability calculation is mainly about the cross-section flexural capacity from the aspect of safety performance on reliability, and the deterministic and reliability analysis are the reliationship or safety factor and reliability index.
