The AC VVVF(Variable Voltage Variable Frequency) speed regulation is a integrated technology. Due to the highest efficiency and the best capability in the AC speed control system, the AC VVVF speed regulation is regarded as a important field in modern electrical technology. In recent years, along with the improvement of power electronics, micro-electronics and modern control theory, the frequency converter has been put in wide use in speed regulation of AC motors, and is playing increasingly important role in the field.In addition, the system of AC VVVF speed regulation is reviewed and prospected, the basic principle of VVVF and the capacity of motor of the frequency converter are discussed, and the Auto-solid storage in Department II in YuXi Hongta Group is introduced in the thesis.The control strategy of hoist system of stacker crane is studied. Through reliability analysing of control system of hoist, comparison of running and fork movement system, the weakness of controlling methodology of hoist system is found and then creates the improving model and the proposal of controlling system of hoist, in which use AC VVVF speed regulation instead of variable speed regulation, so as to get the stacker crane with better orientation precision and running speed.The GPD3402 inverter and PLC being selected to set up open-loop and closed-loop speed regulation systems, applying the invariable V/F control, sensorless vector control, slip compensation, process PI and network control technologies control the hoist motor of the stacker crane. The controlling trapezia is finished by extension of former PLC, applying the soft ware of HITACHI PLC to control the inverter correspondingly, and structure process design. Then the hoist motor of the stacker crane is controlled successfully by the VVVF speed regulation and the better orientation precision and running speed of stacker crane are expressed in the practice.
