Layout is an important part of the sea reclamation works, which consists of for kinds of rational layout of the exploitation of the embanked area, the irrigation and drainage works, the sea exploitation work schedule and the silt acceleration work schedule. Not only are the four kind layout works interrelated and interrestricted, but also they come down to many natural and society factors. The reclamation work is a money consuming, lot items effecting and conditions restricting and complicated work layout questions. To gain the economic benefit earlier, efficient technique and methods are necessary to get the optimum layout scheme. In this paper the simple genetic algorithms, good at dealing with the complicated questions, are applied to the complicated layout problems.The simple genetic algorithms, based on the Darwinism of the survival of fittest by Darwin, map the searched space as the genetic space. Each solution is coded as a vector, called a chromosome or an individual, denoted as a bit strand. The global optimum result is obtained by the selection, variation and change of the bits.This thesis studies the feasibility of the application of the simple genetic algorithms to the layout of Damu reclamation works in Zhejiang province. By the demonstration of the result, modeling and algorithms of the nonlinear optimum staging exploration mathematical model and the pure form method used in the layout of the Damu reclamation works, it proved that the simple genetic algorithms is more rational in solving nonlinear target function. By comparing the result, modeling and algorithms of the linear mathematical model with the pure form method applied to the study of the optimum combination of the benefits in the first exploration of Damu reclamation works, the simple genetic algorithms is very easy to be applied to the complicated linear target function. The Simple Genetic Algorithms are applied to demonstrate the rationality of the layout of Houhai reclamation works, for the agriculture and aquaculture exploration, in Putian of Fujian province.
