Cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing coating (abbreviated CCWC) is a new type of cement-based waterproofing materials, which is characterized by its very good adhesive performance and impermeability to water, self-rehabilitating ability, permanent waterproofing effect, good aging resistance and corrosion resistance, simple construction method and harmless to hunman etc. CCWC consists of ordinary portland cement, quartz sand and reactive substances and other supplementary ingredients, whose reactive substance can permeate into the internal part of concrete structures through water and produce insoluble crystals filling capillary pores or crack of the concret through reaction with cement hydrates and unhydrates.In this paper, based on the comprehensive analysis of the action mechanism of CCWC, by selecting the reactive substances and interrelated supplementary ingredients, and using cross-experiment means to optimize the content of each component in waterproofing coating, a type of cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing coating based on ordinary portland cement, i.e. PT waterproofing coating, was successfully developed. The performances of FT waterproofing coating were tested in accordance with GB18445-2001.The test results indicates that PT coating has the following advantages: The waterproofing effect is remarkable. Brushed with the thickness of 1.5~2.0mm. it can improve the impermeability pressure up 3 times that of blank samples; The crystalline reaction can continuously carry out, sealing the crack and waterproofing for ever if water is existent; Very good environmental adaptability, and can be used as normal at pH 3.0~12.0; Moreover, the contrast tests of the performance of PT coating with two kinds of widely usedwaterproofing coating XYPEX and COPROX were also carried out in this paper. Test results show that the properties such as impermeability, self-rehabilitating ability and corrosion resistance are superior to those of the counterparts.
