Street Space Of Humanization And Emotion

Street is a kind of linear passage in which all transportations occur, including of people stream, car flow and logistics circulation. Street is also a kind of place in which the public is provided with existing space and "civilized life method". These dualistic characteristics decide that the research of street is much more complicated, multi-reasoned, dynamic than road. Especially in urban life street all contradictions and conflicts are sharpened. At the "same" time and the "same" space, pedestrian, biker who ride bicycle and three-wheeled cart, driver and passenger in bus, taxi and small car, have different "city experiences". What we have to do is to create harmonious-coexisting street space in which humanization and emotion turn. This paper tries to go into this phenomenon from the main body of street —— the person's angle sets out. Through the comparative research of traditional and modern urban streets characteristics and the analysis of lots of excellent urban streets typical examples, this paper sums up the common characters of "humanism" urban streets. Drawing lessons from domestic and international forerunner, in the controlling detailed plan a series of index signs is put forward. It consists of boundary lines of roads, land usage, building line, building maximum height, H/D, frontage building height, building form, building color, building style, street texture, plane of maximum building height, building ratio along the street frontage, open space, building interval, roof outline, etc. They have different effects on the five interfaces of street space. By scientific controlling and guidance, it will guarantee the formation of the basic frame of street space that is full of humanism and emotion.Finally, hope that this paper could provide the ways and guidance for our streets planning and construction works.
