Research To The Derivation Of Lingyin Scenic Spot In Hangzhou

This thesis aims to study the process of the development of Chinese traditional scenic spots on the analogy of Lingyin in Hangzhou.The gradual and organic development of most of Chinese traditional scenic spots during the past thousands of years was just like the multiplication of the natural world, and has finally grown up into both beautiful and harmonious space structures of the scenic spots and landscape concept. The thesis names this organic development "derivation", whose conceptualization bears unquestionably theoretical and practical significance in helping people recognize the developmental order of those traditional scenic spots with long history, as well as helping people solve the current issues of "protection" and "continuable development".This study upon the "derivation" of Lingyin scenic spot is carried out on two different levels. The first intends to study the history of "derivation" in Lingyin scenic spot. In another words, it is to study its different ways of expression in different historical stages, together with the influence of cultural, natural, and other related elements upon the "derivation" of the scenic spot during its derivative process.Another level of the study presents the author's taking the concept of "derivation" as the theoretical main thread in solving problems and the starting point of expansive development in order to follow the developmental track of history when participating in the "Expansive Programming of the Lingyin Scenic Spot". The author also believes that we should, in the concern of the modern transportation and the environmental capacity of modern requirement, explore those scenic spots and routes which have prospered in older times while have declined nowadays, and finally open up new scenic spots on the basic of this. "Expansive Programming of Lingyin Scenic Spot" hence becomes the author's another expression.
