In traditional power system software system, there are some deficiencies, for example, the meritorious service of basic calculation and the GUI have to been exploited repeatedly. In this thesis, the power system application software architecture is amended, moreover, the key component——the basic calculation software of power system——is designed. And based on the design, some meritorious services of the basic calculation such as wiring analysis, load flow calculation, fault calculation and so on have been realized with component technique and DLL technique. Finally, in the power system software system composed of the power system database, GUI of power system and the basic calculation software of power system, the independence and the flexibility of the basic calculation software and the feasibility of amend of the application software architecture is verified.
