The accurate operation of the relay protection device is the basic guarantee for the safe and stable operation of the power system,and its operation reliability is closely related to the accuracy of the protection setting calculation.For a long time,the calculation of relay protection settings in power plants has mainly been done manually,which is inefficient and prone to errors.Existing power plant relay protection setting systems mainly adopt offline methods for setting and the setting data is difficult to share in real time,and those software have deficiencies in terms of versatility,flexibility,and degree of automation.In this paper,the key technologies of on-line automatic setting calculation for relay protection in power plants are researched,and the setting calculation software for power plant is developed after comprehensively considering the system’s versatility,practicability and scalability.The main research work is as follows:1.Aiming at the problem of complicated and difficult to manage data in the setting process,a construction method of integrated data structure for setting calculation was proposed.By analyzing the data involved in all business functions of the setting process,it is divided into six sections: graphical modeling,fault calculation,setting calculation,protection configuration,management of setting orders,and user information.According to the relationship between each part of the data,an integrated data structure has been established and the entire process data has been defined,and it realizes the flexible configuration and management of the data,which provides the basis for automated tuning calculations.2.Aiming at the problem that the existing power plant setting system can’t perform online fault calculation,an online graphical automatic fault calculation method is proposed.Based on the B / S structure,the interaction between the vg graphics system,database,and web interface is established.It provides users with an online visual graphical modeling interface,and realizes autonomous drawing and automatic topology analysis of graphics files.By analyzing the mathematical model of short-circuit fault,the calculation process including symmetric short circuit and asymmetric short circuit is designed.The data matching method is used to realize the online automatic fault calculation,which can provide short-circuit current information for the setting calculation.And display the calculation result of the fault on the interface3.Aiming at the problem that a large number of manual operations are required in the setting process,an automatic setting calculation method that can flexibly configure the setting process is proposed.By hierarchically classifying the setting calculation rules,a setting calculation knowledge base with a multi-layer structure,and a general setting calculation template for specific equipment are realized to realize flexible configuration and management of the setting rules;and through "data-template-instance” mode realizes the flexible configuration of the setting calculation process and the automatic output of the protection settings,which improves the versatility and flexibility of the setting calculation.4.Developed online setting calculation software,which can complete graphic modeling,fault analysis and calculation,protection setting analysis and calculation,and management of setting orders online.The example application shows that the system has good universality,practicability and flexibility,and has good promotion and application value.
