Along with our national economy developing rapidly,the electrical network scale is expanded; the electrical network structure is enhanced, the power load is increased, the large capacity unit ,the high voltage rank and the advanced automatic equipment used in transformer caused the electrical network structure to change significantly, all above make judging the fault situation difficult, the calculation and analysis about the planning, designing, running, analysis of the fault, the relaying system and the automatic device, all those above need lots of fault calculation and analysis quickly and precisely. Therefore, in order to ensure the security and the stability operations of power system grid, and to examine the use of the computer's power system fault calculation of the mathematical model and implementation methods to increase in computer speed fault calculation and improve the accuracy of fault calculation, which are of practical significance.The ever-changing computer technology in the power system for power system development provides many new opportunities. The content included in this passage constructs a power model that apply to the realistic situation of power system on the basis of the computer and the technology, meanwhile, it's convenient to calculate and expand for the fault calculation program. Designed by using Microsoft Corporation Visual C + +6.0 development of object-oriented power system fault calculation software, on the comparison of the traditional model of computer methods, it not only in the input interface is very intuitive and aesthetically pleasing, but also a large extent improve the program running speed and scalability of the procedure, when it is in the fault situation, it greatly improve the staff for the failure of ability to judge, of course, save repair time.The final results including the phase voltage and phase current are resolved by the fault program on the basis of the concept of the fault mouth method and the symmetrical component method. The fault calculation program not only can be applied in the single fault calculation, but also applies to double fault calculation.
