Research And Analysis Of Sea Empty Container Reposition

Empty containers reposition is one of the most important problems for the shipping companies. It has drawn great attention from the scholars and the enterprises. This paper introduces the coming into being, the features and the status quo of research. From two angles, that is lowering the quantity of empty containers and scientific repositioning, several ways are put forward to improve the empty relocation. Finally, based on the analysis of the sea empty container reposition system, an unproved system optimization model is set and a practical example is computed with this model.In this paper, much emphasis is put on improving and setting sea empty container reposition optimization model with Pure Integer Linear Programming. Using LINGO 8.0, the model is computed by developing computing program based on the data of a practical example. After great scale PILP solving, a reasonable result is reached. Then the analysis after changing some factors in model helps deepen the comprehension of sea empty container reposition.
