The Switched Reluctance Drive possesses many inherent advantages of adjustable-speed drive, it attracts more and more attention and shows competition in commercial applications.In this paper ,the 7.5KW 4-phase Switched Reluctance Motor (8 stator and 6 rotor poles) control system is designed based on Digital Signal Processor.This article primarily introduces the structure of SRD system and its development of native and international. Thecharacteristic of SRM and its electro-magnetics -principle are described in details. At the same time the article expounds the development, characteristic and application of Digital SignalProcessor. It analyzes a few requests about interface circuit of DSP and SRM control. The control method is introduced' and the hardware of the controller is designed. The structure of power circuit was designed and correlative parameter was calculated. The controller uses the TMS320F240 of TI company as the main control unit and produces the on and off and PWM signal of each phase controlling the power element on and off. The control software is programmed. The modular program can make the program universal and readable. PWM waves of DSP , drive waves , the current waves of each phase in a speed and curve of speed trait are given and analyzed at the end of article.
