| The Switched Reluctance Drive (SRD) is a new-type electromotor drive system which develops rapidly since 1980. The structure of the SRD is simple and firm. It has a wide range and excellent performance i n speed. It also has a high efficiency and high reliability. So the SRD is one of the hot spots which is studied and designed all over the world. In this thesis the 7.5KW 4-phase switched reluctance motor (SRM with 8 stator and 6 rotor poles) control system is designed based on Digital Signal Processor(DSP).The thesis contains six chapters. In the first chapter, it offers the system survey of SRD, including developing process and trend. The operational principle, structure and characteristics of SRM are also cited. The second chapter describes the design and produce of power converter. The characteristics of various kinds of power circuit are discussed. The H-type power converter is analyzed in detail.
