The main dike of Hangjiang River lower reaches is along the sides of Hangjiang River lower reaches, which is located in the heart of Hubei Province, and is the flood-control barrier of the four-lake region, the southern region and the northern plain of Hangjiang River, and the Wuhan City.For a long period of time, there are four obstacles that threaten the embankment of Hanjiang River middle and lower reaches: bad construction of levee and foundation, thin levee and low crest elevation, large amount of landslides and dangerous phases, and ill-maintained trans-dike structures.The article is to analyze the problems of the embankment of Hanjiang River middle and lower reaches, to make calculations upon the sliding resistance and seepage stabilization based on the geological exploration data, to test methods on different foundation conditions as vertical seepage control, drainage decompression, dike-back weighted filter, clay blanket, and to find out the most effective and economical methods for dike reinforcement.Towards the remained problems of bank slope and the reasons of landslides, the article proposes the practical and safe methods of banket and slide stabilization based on the Design Regulation of Embankment Construction. And it also suggests specific methods of reinforcement based on the stabilization analysis and calculation towards the problems of trans-dike structures of Hanjiang main dike.
