Nowadays, the microcomputer protection and other auto equipments have been used everywhere in power plants and substations in power system, while most of the sampling of them are processed randomly on the basis of crystal surge of their own without synchronized with each other. To secure the synchronization, the first problem should be settled is to make the sampling clock synchronous in those plants and substations, furthermore, this kind of synchronization the synchronize must be long-distance, accurate and highly credible.A kind of GPS satellite synchronous clock based on the DS80C320 High-speed SCM is recommended in the following thesis, to solve problem mentioned above. It is composed of receptors, central proceeding sections and output connectors. Supposed each plant ,substation and dispatching enter are equipped with receptors,the central proceeding section could deal with the data to make all clock in the power net synchronous by use of the standard time signals supplied by receptors ,thus , all clock in the power net could retain running highly synchronously。 By this way, not only the problem of the clock synchronized within single power net, but also the time all over the country is really completely unified. Compared with conventional method, this new synchronous clock plan has many advantages, such as simple, high precision, wide extension, no channels needed, no confine of geography and weather environment and so on. It is the ideal way to synchronize the clock. In the following paper,I represent some basis knowledge of GPS including the development status of GPS, the principle of GPS, the constitution of GPS, the character of GPS and so on,and design the hardware of the GPS synchronous clock based on the DS80C320 High-speed SCM,then list the flow chart of the main program and the interrupt program and the introduction of those programs。The item to collate the clock of the protection system together with the fault recorder momentarily and unified by the GPS satellite synchronous clock within all the plants and substations in a scope can be very important for raising the level of power system automatization,especially for the development of fault analyzing, fault locating, stabilization judging and controlling techno ledge。...
