Street space is an important part of the open space system in modern city.Compared to other open space on the city, street is most close to us. Street has veryimportant function to our city: It is the backbone of our city, the arrangement of streetreflect the complexion of city. On the other hand, street is the stage of the city life. The research of street must be began with the development of it. This articleresearched the development of street before and after the industrial revolution in thefirst, generalized the features of it in the two history phase, and have the conclusion:With the development of society and technology, the form of street would developforward in a curve-up mold.
