Research On Outdoor Environmental Design Of Office Building

In the information age in 21st century, office buildings, as the main place to collect and handle the information in modern cities, are and will be getting enormous development. In addition, people in growing number will spend most of their time everyday in office buildings. Thus, it becomes an urgent subject to improve the office buildings' environment.Meanwhile, most of the buildings were designed in single without taking conforming to the urban space into consideration, which leads to the disorderly and unsystematic environment in the city.Based on the existing research and analysis on the outdoor environment designs of the buildings in the city, the thesis, with the assistance of bi-disciplinary theory, makes the relevant subjects on the same platform. After a synthetic analysis it reaches the generality of outdoor environments of buildings. Then the thesis recognizes the individuality of office buildings from a relatively macroscopic angle. At the same time the thesis acquires a deep understanding of those factors exerting great influence on the outdoor environments of office buildings, as well as seeks the deep-seated designing principle. After the further study on the characters, space layout, developing mode of the office buildings and clerks' behavior and psychology three kinds of environmental patterns of outdoor environment of office buildings are preliminarily set up: single pattern, block pattern, community pattern. And then detailed analysis and discussing are focused on single pattern. Finally, the thesis presents the author's exploratory thinking on the development of outdoor environment of office buildings.
