Since 1997 the railways in our country has got four times large scale speed-up reconstructions. In according with the Railway Ministry' s the 10th Five-Year Plan and its development objects of 2010, exsist raiways' speed-up wi I I be one of important tasks of express passenger rai I way network constructions before 2010. But actual design priciples and technic criteria can't accommodate the need of speed-up tasks , such as many des i gn parameters, pr i c i p I es and techn i c standards are not perfect and clear. And those ones (provi siona I regulation) of JingShen, JingHu special line for passenger trian are not suit for actual circumstances technic requests of existing railway speed-up reconstrution. So collective blue prints, design principles and mi an technic standards for the existing railway speed-up reconstructions are needed to be farther studied.With the engineering practices of the 5th large scale speed-up of existing JingGuang and LongHai raiI ways, the author fully studies and discusses the following technic problems in this thesis, such as drawing out of a collective blue print, principles and methods of plot ing out speed-up districts and target values of velocity, determineted principles of minimum speed-up districts, selection of locomotives used in speed-up and matching of wagon-set, operation plan of express passenger trians, methods of estimating the time efficency of speed-up, simulated calculation of traction, design pr i nc i ples and eng i neer i ng techn i c measures for ex i st i ng rai I way I i ne speed-up reconstruction and etc. . By the way of theoretical analysis , the author systemat i ca I I y stud i es and d i scusses techn i c parameters andmain standards of railway line, such as minimum radius of curves, curve superelevation, transitional curve length, minimum intermediate straight line length, minimum intermed iate ci rcular curve line length, distance between centers of lines, reverse curves, distances between switch and curve' s head or end, computing formula of ru I ing speed, value selection of speed target, tolerated over or under superelevations, time changing rates of tolerated over or under superelevations and etc. , in order to make the speed-up reconstruction of existing rai I way we I I to accord with the general parogramming target of national express passenger railway network, and to make the reconstruction plan and re I at i ve techn i c standards and parameters of ex i st i ng rai I way speed-up engineering more scientific, rational, economic and effective.
